The Department of Community and Cultural Affairs, Government of Bermuda, Bermuda College, and the National Museum of Bermuda invite you to attend a lecture on Prudent Rebels: Bermudians & the First Age of Revolution (1774–1849), a joint publication of National Museum of Bermuda Press and the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs, Government of Bermuda.

Authors Dr. Clarence Maxwell, Dr. Theodore Francis II, and Alexandra Mairs-Kessler will discuss the often divergent aims within the Bermudian community between enslaved and slaveholding castes during the Age of Revolution.

The lecture will also examine the forces in Bermuda that shaped Abolition and helped craft a post-Abolition order.
