The SDIHS presents at Carter House a unique exhibition of paintings, prints and drawings of Bermuda primarily St Georges and St David’s, covering the period from the early 1800’s to the early 1900’s - a private collection of some 40 pieces, many not seen before by the public.
A donation of $100/ person is requested in recognition of 20 years

The Exhibit includes paintings by Senat, James, Jicha, Snow, Driver, Rice, Muirhead, Bates, Baker, Getty, Waller, Hallowell and local artists Outerbridge, Head, Blackburn, Grimes, Stuart, E. Tucker, J. Tucker and (yours truly) Spurling (left above), and Chameau. Also, unique anonymous drawings of St Georges dating to about 1820; In addition, an exhibit of Ronnie “Chapeaux” Chameau’s incredible palmetto and banana dolls and hats, and Larry Mills’ handmade Cedar pieces.
